Assistant Principal's Message

Pic of P.A.Greetings to each of you!

I’d first like to say that I am honored and thrilled to be joining the Fulton family. Contributing to the continued development and nurturing of such an outstanding learning community as its assistant principal is something I am really looking forward to being a part of.

Before coming to Fountain Valley, I spent the last two years at Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach as the acting assistant principal (TOSA). My experience there has helped prepare me for this position as many of the responsibilities and duties overlap. That being said, I am looking forward to and anticipating a tremendous amount of growth and development during my first year as an assistant principal. Prior to my duties at Dwyer, I spent six years in the classroom at Lynwood High School teaching social studies. There, I thoroughly loved teaching, coaching and being involved with Student Activities.

I am an alumna of California Lutheran University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. At the beginning of my teaching career, I attended UCLA where I earned my credential in social studies. From there, I continued my education at CSU Fullerton where I received my administrative credential and Master of Science degree in educational leadership.

My educational philosophy revolves around the idea that learning should be student centered. This ideal is characterized by collaboration between staff and parents, rigorous academics with appropriate support, high expectations, and instilling a love of learning in every student. It is my sincere desire, as assistant principal, to provide all stakeholders with the support and tools needed to expand learning opportunities for our students so they may learn and thrive.

My hope is that this brief glimpse into my background, professional experience and beliefs serves as “the tip of the iceberg” and that we will be afforded numerous opportunities to get to know each other better.

With all sincerity,

Paul-André (P.A.) White
